Our Diagnostic Services
Infertility can occur for many different reasons, so our first step before providing any treatment is to identify what is preventing conception.
We can provide an inclusive, fixed-price Fertility Assessment Service, which covers everything from an initial consultation to diagnostic tests and a written report containing our recommendations for treatment for both partners. For women, we perform hormone profiling to assess ovulation, and carry out a minimally invasive ultrasound procedure to check whether the fallopian tubes are allowing sperm to reach the egg. We also undertake further tests to preclude the possibility of infection and verify immunity to rubella. In the man’s case, we undertake a semen analysis to measure sperm quality and quantity – a vital process in deciding the most appropriate treatment.
Alternatively, we often recommend individual diagnostic tests such as a Hystersalpingogram (HyCoSY), which are arranged following the appointment with your Consultant.
