Our egg donation programme is designed to help women who might not be able to have a child of their own due to premature menopause or maybe a genetic disorder. At SEFC we have an altruistic scheme in which all donors have proven fertility with at least one healthy child. We also carry out known donation in which eggs are donated by a sister or friend.
Overseas Treatment Support
Due to the limited availability of donated eggs and embryos in the UK, many couples, however, choose to seek treatment at an overseas clinic which specialises in egg donation. We are pleased to support these couples wherever possible and have developed links with two accredited providers in Spain; IVI Clinic in Valencia and Insituto Bernebeu in Alicante. We have visited our colleagues in these clinics and are happy to support their treatment plans and management. We are able to provide local services to minimise the disruption to couples who are required to travel overseas to these clinics. has 1 million eggs, after birth she will only have 800,000 eggs and by the age of 34 she can expect to have less than 10% remaining!
